Our adventures here started even before we moved in. When we went to check
We noticed some coffee stains and other marks on the floor and reported them back to management. Before we could start moving in, Juan was at our apartment "cleaning up the stains." We were confused about how he would be able to clean these up as they seemed fairly permanent. It seems that the answer to any stain, door, or wall was paint and a lot of it. For the countertops Juan just whipped out the spray paint and the counter top looked brand new.
Other adventures included waking up to the Mexican Carnival Sunday mornings, trying to get our clothes out of our closet in the morning ( this is the time when Bruce was the most ready to move), finding a place to park our car in the safety of the light each night, getting anything out of the kitchen cupboards (the cupboards were conviently located about seven and a half feet from the floor, and the lights were about three and a half feet from the floor--- we couldn't figure out who had designed it that way), and escorting Robert everytime he came over so he wouldn't be scared to visit.
We only ended up staying about 1 1/2 months and then we sub-let our apartment to George--- the organ player for the Cubs who was in town for spring training. It turned out to be a great trade and we love our new house!
