Trouble with a capital T!

Most of you who know Savannah know that she is almost always a really good eater! Well I have been trying really hard to feed our family more vegetables... her included. There is this great farmer's market close to our house where I like to get veggies and I am trying to try out new things. The other day I got some asparagus and tried roasting it... it was so delicious! Savannah and I made a scrumptious lunch out of it.

Last night I went visiting teaching and the girl we visit had asked us to bring a favorite recipe... so brought her some asparagus and told her how delicious and easy it was. Well, before I could give it to her Savannah started eating it raw out of the bunch... yuck! Although roasted asparagus is very delicious I'm not so sure about it raw.

Today Savannah had some cold cooked broccoli left over from dinner for lunch (amoung other things). I thought it was pretty good for lunch today, but didn't really know about saving any longer, so I threw the rest of the left overs away (in the plastic bag it had been in the fridge in). Well I was cleaning up lunch when I look over and what to I see? My little vegetable eater has taken the bag of broccoli out of the trash and is eating it.... what a character? I think things must always taste better if you think you shouldn't have them :)

I just hope she'll keep being such a good eater especially with her veggies!

How cute! I know I'm biased but she really is the cutest baby ever. So good that she likes veggies too! I'm sure all of Lance and I's children will love healthy food too and hate junk food. That's what every parent hopes for, right? You do so well in that department Kirstin! Always being careful that she is eating right. All your efforts will pay off!

Russel's favorite place to play is the trash can. . .so beware! Once they discover it they just can't let it go! I wish Russel would eat more veggies. . . any suggestions? He LOVES fruit and will eat any fruit you put in front up him but it also does wonders to his diapers so I have to try and limit his fruit intake.

What a good girl... I mean not for getting in the garbage, but for loving her veggies ;)
